RAGS assists PhD, Masters by Research and Masters by Coursework candidates with the School to enrich their research and candidature. The Scheme allows students to apply for assistance. Schools allocate a portion of their research budget for graduate use, in addition to the funds that support graduate journals and school conferences.
If you wish to apply for research funding to support a conference presentation or research travel for example, please refer to the guidelines which outline eligibility and application procedures.

Taxation on scholarships
Scholarships awarded to part-time students are assessed as taxable income by the Australian Taxation Office (under section 51-10 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997). To ensure the correct rate of income tax is withheld, part-time students will be asked to provide a Tax File Number (TFN) Declaration Form prior to payment.
