英语是一种结构型语言，以谓语动词为核心构成句型。 (1)主语＋系动词＋表语
此句型中，系动词除了be外，常见的还有look，sound，taste，feel，become，turn，get等，系动词后接形容词或名词作表语。
I'm very happy today. 今天我很高兴。
Kate becomes more and more beautiful. 凯特变得越来越漂亮了。 (2)主语＋谓语(不及物动词)
此句型中的动词不可以直接加宾语，这种动词称为不及物动词。 His first book came out in 2008. 他的第一本书在2008年出版了。 The baby can speak. 这个婴儿会说话了。 (3)主语＋谓语(及物动词)＋宾语
此句型中动词加宾语，这种动词称为及物动词。
I bought an interesting book yesterday. 昨天我买了一本有趣的书。
This morning I met your father on my way home. 今天早上，我在回家的路上遇见你父亲了。 (4)主语＋谓语(及物动词)＋间接宾语＋直接宾语
此句型中的动词可以接两个宾语，指物的叫直接宾语，指人的叫间接宾语。两个宾语的顺序可以改变。如果直接宾语在前面，间接宾语的前面要加上介词to或for。
Please give the book to me. ＝Please give me the book. 请把这本书给我。 My mother bought me a bike yesterday. ＝My mother bought a bike for me yesterday. (5)主语＋谓语(及物动词)＋宾语＋宾语补足语
宾语补足语用来说明宾语的行为、特征或状态等，宾语和宾语补足语之间通常有逻辑上的主谓关系。 The news made me happy. 这个消息让我高兴。
Let me help you learn English after school. 放学后让我帮你学英语吧。 (6)There be＋主语＋状语
此句型中，be的单复数由后面的主语决定。当有两个或两个以上的主语时，be动词的数与最近的主语的数保持一致，即遵循“就近原则”。
There are many people in the shop. 商店里有许多人。
