3. expect vt. expect (sb.) to do sth. 1) 预料；预期
I expect he'll pass the examination. 我预料他会通过考试。
The chairman of the committee expect to be back next Thursday. 委员会主席预计下星期四回来。
The first message is expected to arrive at 7 o'clock this evening. 第一次信息预计在今晚7点到达。

4. upset (upset, upsetting)
1) vt. 颠覆, 推翻, 扰乱, 使不适, 使心烦

5. forbid vt. 禁止，不准，不许 (forbade, forbidden) 1) forbid sb. from doing sth.
He forbade them from mentioning the subject again. 他不准他们再提到这个问题。 2) forbid sb. to do sth.
I forbid you to go swimming. 我不准你去游泳。

7. supposing conj. 万一；假使

8. charge
1) vt., vi. 要价；索价；要人支付；收费
charge sb. some money (for sth/ doing sth.) The driver charged me 6 dollars for his service. 驾驶员向我要了六美元的服务费。
The fruit seller charged me too much money. 这个水果商要了我很多的钱。 How much did he charge you for repairing the bicycle? 他修理自行车收了你多少钱?

10. suggest vt. 建议, 提出, 使想起, 暗示 1) （常与that连用）提议；提出；建议
I suggested that she (should) take a holiday. 我建议她休假。 suggest doing sth.
