一、完成 Grammar中的空格并大声朗读这些句子，然后总结be动词的一般过去时在句式方面的变化。
1. 一般过去时的陈述句结构为 主语＋was/were +其他。
2. 当主语是第一人称I时，be用was；主语是第二人称及复数人称时，be用were；主语是第三人称单数时，be 用was。
3. 一般过去时的否定句为主语＋was／were.....一般疑问句为 Was/Were ＋主语＋v...；特殊疑问句为疑问词＋ was/were ＋主语＋....． 二、完成 Functions 中的空格，大声朗读并背诵这些功能句型。 三、大声朗读2中的短文，利用上下文猜测生词的意思，然后查阅生词表看自己猜的是否准确。阅读短文，完成习题。 1读2并且标出T 或 F

语法讲解
1.一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常与 a minute ago, two
days/months/years ago, yesterday, last year, in those days, just now, in 1990等
表示过去的时间状语连用；一般过去时也表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。
(1)过去存在的状态。My father was at work yesterday afternoon. (2)过去某个时间发生的动作。 I got up at 6:30 yesterday.
(3)过去经常或反复发生的动作。He always went to work by bus last year. 2．Be动词在一般过去时中的变化：
⑴am 和is在一般过去时中变为was。（was not=wasn’t） ⑵are在一般过去时中变为were。（were not=weren’t） ⑶带有was或were的句子，其否定、疑问的变化和is, am, are一样，即否定句在was或were后加not，一般疑问句把was或were调到句首。
