Teacher will show some pictures and let students to guess the verbs:
swim, eat dinner, do homework, watch TV and play basketball. Step 2: Presentation
1) Read and answer. Students will read the passage and try to answer the questions--Q1: Which activities are mentioned in the article? Q2: What are they doing? And fill in the blanks.
2) Conclude the grammar. Guide students to know the structure and function of the present continuous tense: be+doing Step 3: Practice 1) Read the passage.
2)Work in pair. Use the present continuous tense to make new sentences.
Step 4: Production
Write a passage by using the new grammar structure. Some students will be invited to show their reports to the whole class. Step 5: Summary and homework
1) Some students will be guided to summarize what they have learned in this class.
