教学课题: Module 7 My past life 三、学习目标

1. 语言知识目标:掌握下列单词: born, strict, primary, primacy school, town, friendly, US, hey, village, nice, good, difficult, bathroom, bedroom, garden, living room, coast, east, ago, store, movie theater / theatre, bored, president, lake, last and comfortable。 2. 语言技能目标:

1)能听懂包含动词be的过去式 (was / were)的对话。

2)能用动词be的过去式 (was / were)表述自己过去的经历,并能用它询问对方过去的生活。

3)能够读懂描述过去生活和经历的短文,并能就短文作答。而且,掌握短文通篇大意,学习使用上下文猜测词义的学习方法。

4)能用动词be的过去式 (was / were)描述自己和别人的过去生活和经历。 3. 情感目标:通过对过去童年或家乡的描述,产生对家乡和美好生活的热爱。 四、教材分析

外研版7年级英语下册Module 7 My past life Units 1~3,本模块以过去生活为题材,要求学生掌握含有动词be的过去式 (was / were)的一般过去时的句子,而且能用此谈论自己和别人的过去生活和经历。

本模块的主要语法是含有动词be的过去式 (was / were)的一般过去时,教学重点是通过对过去生活和经历的描述,重点学习本模块中出现的重点词汇、短语、固定搭配和句型。

课前准备一些与本模块话题相关的图片和资料,让学生在warming-up时讨论和观看。围绕本模块话题展开听说读写的全面训练,使学生熟悉含有动词be的过去式 (was / were)的一般过去时。

五、教学方法

以说为主要教学方式,以讨论为主要方法,通过同桌讨论和小组以及全班讨论,让每个学生充分练习口语和说的能力,并将听说读写有机地贯穿一体。设立一些语言环境,结合自己或他人的过去生活和经历,最后一起学习本模块的重、难点,为突破重、难点再做一些课堂和课后的练习。 六、教学过程

我们已经接触过“一般现在时”、“现在进行时”和“一般将来时”。但如果要描述过去的事情,该如何表达呢? 请仔细观察下面的例句,然后补全结论部分中所缺的内容。 【例句】

1. I was late for school this morning. 2. Susan wasn’t born in Shanghai. 3. Were your parents at home yesterday? 4. Where were you born? 【结论】

1. 一般过去时表示过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态,经常与表示________的时间状语连用,如:yesterday, the day before yesterday, last week, last month, last year, a moment ago, just now, in 2012等。 2. 通过观察上面的例句我们发现动词be的过去式形式有两种:am, is的过去式为________; are的过去式为________。 3. 含动词be的一般过去时的各种句式: 1)肯定句式:“主语+ was / were + 其他.”

2)否定句式:“主语+ was / were + ________ +其他.” 3) 一般疑问句式:“ __________+ 主语 +其他?” 肯定回答为:“Yes, 主语+was / were.” 否定回答为:“No, 主语+wasn’t / weren’t.”

【运用】

Ⅰ. 用动词be的适当形式填空。 1. My uncle ________ ill last week.

2. I ________ at school this morning, but now I ________ at home. 3. We ________ all at home last night. 4. My brother ________ in the park just now. 5. ________ you born in Beijing?

Ⅱ. 根据题后括号内的要求完成下列各题,每空一词(含缩略形式)。 1. They are in Shanghai now. (用last month改写句子)

3. There were 50 students in their class last term. (改为否定句) ________ ________ 50 students in their class last term. Step 7 Language points 1. She was strict but very nice.

strict用作形容词,意为“严格的; 严厉的”,在句中既可以作表语,也可以作定语。如:

My mother is always very strict. Mr Smith is a very strict teacher. strict还常用于以下短语:

be strict with sb.表示“对某人要求严格”。如: The teacher is always strict with us.

be strict in sth. 表示“对某事要求严格”。如: Linda is always strict in her work. 2. Where were you born?

be born意为“出生”,并且动词be常常 用过去式was或were。be born后面可跟不同的介词,表示“出生的时间、地点”。如: When were you born? Li Gang was born in Beijing.
