PartⅠ Teaching material analysis ( 教材分析 )

Today I'm going to talk about PartA of Unit 3, PEP Primary

English Book 3.First of all, I’d like to talk about my understanding about this lesson. This lesson includes two parts: Let’s learn and Let’s chant. In section 1,it mainly deals with the words about colors, and in section 2,it provides a real situation for the students to practice the sentence of ‘show me your?\\I like... The main idea of this topic is to grasp five words about colors, and use the sentence of ‘Show me your ?’with flexibility.

PartⅡ Teaching aims( 教学目标 )

1. Aims of the knowledge(知识目标)

(1)To enable the students to listen, say, read and write the five words about colors: blue, green, yellow, red, purple. Make sure that students can use these five words correctly. (2)To enable the students to say the chant and do the action through their listening.

(3)To enable the students can learn and use \like ...\

2. Aims of the abilities( 能力目标 )

(1) To develop students ’abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) To train students’ abilities of working in groups. (3) To foster students ’abilities of communication and their innovations.

3. Aims of the emotion( 情感目标 )

(1)To foster the students’consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.

(2)To foster studnts’obversation and imagination ,describes the good thing in life with the colours, and love the nature. (3)To lead students' to show their loveliness to the color.

PartⅢ Teaching emphasis

1. To grasp the five words: blue, green, yellow, red, purple. 2. To read and do the chant correctly.

PartⅣ Difficult points

1. The pronunciation of red and purple. 2. The pronunciation of red and read.

PartV Teaching methods( 教学方法 )

As we know, the main instructional aims of learning English

in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based”

teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, games, finishing a picture and having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, CAI, school things and colorful crayons or pens will be needed. Students should prepare some school things and crayons or pens.

Teaching aids

teaching cards, a picture with rainbow, five bottles of water, colorful crayons ,magnets,pencil-box, chalks, color rotary disk, PPT.

PartⅥ Teaching procedures( 教学步骤 )

Step1 Warm-up( 2-3min )

(1)Let’s sing a song( head shoulder knees and toes )and the studnts do the action with teacher.

Design intention: Let the students study in a relaxed and agreeable atmosphere. Arouse the students’interest in English learning.

(2)Review the words of Unit1-2(use the teaching cards)

Step2.Show the picture with rainbow( 2 min )

Teacher sticks the picture on the blackboard, and tell the students this picture is used to mark scores. Then teacher divided the students into four groups. They called red, yellow,
