附:听力录音文本 Text 1 M: Richard was born in England, but he grew up in France and French is his mother tongue. W: I heard he is fluent in Spanish, too. Text 2 M: I can’t decide what to do for my summer vacation. I either want to go on a bike tour of Europe or go diving in Mexico. W: Well, we’re offering an all-inclusive two-week trip to Mexico for only 300 dollars. Text 3 M: We’ll never find a parking space here. What about dropping you at the south gate and I’ll find parking somewhere else? W: Ok. It looks like everyone in town came to the mall today. Text 4 W: Hey, Mark, I heard you’re selling your Mac computer. How much is it? M: I'll sell it to you for 20,000 Japanese yen, so that's 200 dollars. That's a pretty good deal. But there's a problem with it. W: What's the problem? M: Sometimes if you put a DVD into the disc drive it doesn't work. W: Well, that's not too bad because I have another computer that I can watch DVDs on. How long have you had it? M: I've had it for about three years, and it worked great, but I just accidentally broke it because I tried to get a DVD out the wrong way. Oh, another thing is that I lost the original battery for it. W: Right, OK, so I need to buy a new battery. Text 5 W: I’ve got a job interview coming up. Would you please give me some tips for it? M: You need to make a good first impression. For example, when your interviewer approaches you in the waiting room, what do you think is the right response? W: Should I greet him with a smile and briefly introduce myself? M: A smile shows you’re friendly, but nothing says confidence like a firm handshake. W: So body language is really important, right? How can I appear to be relaxed during the interview? M: It’s very difficult to pretend to be relaxed–you actually have to be relaxed. To do this, you need to be prepared. W: Should I learn a bit about the company before the interview? M: Yes, knowing something about your future employer helps you to be more relaxed. Think of possible questions and prepare your answers. But don’t recite them. You should sound natural when you are speaking.
Text 6 W: Hi, James, how are things? M: Hi, Liz. Good, thanks. What's new with you? W: Oh, I was just wondering if you wanted to go out tonight. M: Well, I was thinking of going to the library to do some studying. What have you got in mind? W: I thought we could just go for a walk. Maybe down to that park near the beach. M: Tonight? You must be joking! It's too cold! W: Oh, yeah, you’re right. I guess it's too cold. But I still want to go out somewhere. That new TomCruise film is showing in town. How about that? M: OK. What time does it start? W: Oh, I think it's half past eight or something. I'll just get the paper and have a look. Justhang on for a minute. Look, the film got a fantastic review in the paper last week. M: OK, OK. Where are we going to meet? W: It'd be easiest if we met at the cinema. M: OK. Where is it? W: Oh, you know the Olieon. M: Where is that? W: Near CityHall and opposite the bank. M: Oh, yeah. I know where it is. OK, look, I'll meet you there at a quarter past eight. Text 7
W: Good evening, sir. Can I help you? M: Yes. I think I left my digital camera on the train from London earlier today. W: Did you, sir? Oh, well, in that case, we'd better fill in a Lost Property Form. Can you tell me your name? M: Yes, it's Mark Adams. M-A-R-K-Mark, A-D-A-M-S-Adams. W: OK. Your address? M: You mean in Britain or in the States? W: How long are you staying? M: I've still got a few months in Britain. W: OK, then can you give me your address here? M: Right. It's 18 Linden Drive, Laten Essex. Do you want the phone number? W: Yes, I'd better have that too. M: OK, 8096 5233. W: 8096 5233? M: That’s right. W: Thanks. And you say it was a digital camera. What make and model? M: It's a Samsung WB2100. W: OK, got that. Now, you say it was the London train. What time did it arrive in Edinburgh? M: At 4:45 this afternoon. W: Well then, if we find it, sir, shall we phone you or write to you? M: No. I think I will drop in the day after tomorrow to check on it. W: All right, sir. We'll do our best.
