A: As we grow up, our parents are becoming older and older.

D: In my oppinion, the typical signs of aging are forgetfulness, decline in vision and hearing and weakening of muscle strength.
A: I can't agree more with you. Take my mother as an example, she is always forgetting what she wants to do. I think her memory is poorer and poorer.
B: What's more, most of the body organs perform less effectively with advancing age.
C: All of you are right. But we have to admit that aging is the natural process of growing old, isn't it?
D: Yeah, every one has to face aging. By the way, in our society, at what age are people considered elderly?
A: In general, people over 65 years old are considered elderly.
B: No wonder people have to retire when they are 65 years old. C: But with our life standard improved, people have a longer lifespan, so I think people over 70 years old are considered elderly.

C: As for this situation, some elderly people are likely to be treated as burden by society and their family. Instead, they may cost a lot of money on food, clothing, medical care and medication, etc.
D: In my eyes, elderly people should not be seen as burden on the family and society. At first, when older people are young, they made great contributions to their families in their golden times.

A: With the increasing improvement of our life,many people have developed the fever of keeping pets. I keep pets,too. I think pets give us a sense of being important and needed because they depend on us for home,food and drink.
B: My family doesn’t have pets.But I know as the increasing number of people suffer from loneliness and alienation due to fast-paced lifestyle and high-pressured work. Pets are the ones they can talk to or play with after work or at home, especially for those who live alone and are far away from home.
