The arrangement is for sealing-off glass panes fixed in window frames. The panes are usually placed loosely in grooves provided on the frames and the elastic sealing strips are then driven home into the gap between sheet and groove face. The unavoidable variations in gap
tolerances, as they inherently occur, call for strips of different sizes and
thicknesses in order to achieve the right adhesive pressure between strip and
glass and strip and frame respectively. As erectors usually prefer strips which are rather undersized for the job in hand, the arrangement as proposed represents a strip with an adjustable thickness.
Additional lobes on the seal strip edges are connected with a stay of such thickness that breaking away from the main seal section is eliminated. 主权项：
