Unit 2 Tastes

【第一课时】 【教学目标】

1.开展各种游戏活动,帮助学生学习本单元的核心词汇。

2.通过Listen and say的情景对话,帮助学生学习本单元的核心句型How is it? 3.让学生初步意识到用What和How提问的区别。

【教学重难点】

1.句型:How is it? It's sweet.

2.词汇:candy, ice cream, lemon, sweet

【教学过程】

I. Pre-task preparations

1.播放Sing a song的录音,让学生欣赏歌曲Apple tree。

2.教师引入话题,让学生了解今天讨论的是关于食物的话题。出示一个布袋,布袋里放有食物,让学生摸一摸,猜一猜里面有什么。食物可以从学生已知的苹果、橘子到糖果、柠檬,引出本单元的单词candy和lemon。

T: What is it?

S1: It's an apple / a lemon / candy /... II. While-task procedures

1.利用单词卡片或实物教学新单词,让学生跟读并拼读单词。 T: (show the flashcard for candy) What is it? Ss: It's candy.

T: Candy. C-A-N-D-Y, candy. Ss: Candy. C-A-N-D-Y, candy.

提醒学生注意candy是不可数名词,不可以说It's a candy. T: (show the flashcard for ice cream) What is it?

Ss: It is an ice cream. T: An ice cream. Ss: An ice cream.

提醒学生an ice cream仅用来表示甜筒冰淇淋或杯装冰淇淋,如果是盒装冰淇淋,不能说 an ice cream,而要说ice cream。

2.词汇巩固。通过True or false或者Instant memory等游戏帮助学生巩固新单词的发音和词义。

True or false:

T: (show the flashcard for lemon) An apple? Ss: (clap hands) A lemon.

T: (show the flashcard for lemon) A lemon? Ss: A lemon. Instant memory:

T: (show the flashcard for lemon)

S1 / S2: (have a match to see who says the word faster) Lemon.

3.句型导入。教师出示柠檬或糖果,让学生品尝,通过提问引入新句型How is it? It's sweet/ sour,让学生跟读新句型,并提醒学生注意两个句型What is it?和How is it?的不同含义。

T: What is it?

Ss: It's a lemon. / It's candy. T: Taste it. How is it? S1/T: It's sour. / It's sweet.

用脸部表情图片帮助学生理解sweet和sour的词义。出示更多食物的实物或把挂图贴在黑板上,让学生进行小组问答活动,操练How is it? It is sweet/ sour. 句型。学生可以在食物图片旁边用图示(如笑脸和哭脸)或单词(sweet/ sour)来表示味道。

S1: How is it? S2: It's sour.

4.播放Listen and say的录音,让学生听并跟读。然后让学生朗读Listen and say的对话。 III. Post-task activities

1.Look and talk: 看图说话。发给每个学生一张或两张食物图片。让学生在教室里走动,根据图片和同学自由问答,答对的一方可以获取对方的卡片。

S1: (show the picture of a lemon) Look, what is it?

S2: It's a lemon. S1: How is it? S2: It's sour.

S1: Yes. (Give the picture to S2)Here you are. S2: Thank you.

2.创设派对场景,让学生仿照Listen and say的对话,利用卡片或者实物进行情景对话。上一个Look and talk 游戏中出现的主要是新词汇,而在这个游戏中可以将词汇更丰富一些,加上学生已知的单词。如果要使用句子Taste it,建议用实物让学生有真正的品尝过程;如果出示的是图片,那么学生在交流中可假装品尝一下。

S1: Taste it. How is it? S2: It's sour. S1: What is it? S2: It's a lemon. S1: Yes, it's a lemon.
