What are you going to do today? What is she\\he going to do …? Are you going to…? Is she\\ he going to…? Step Two: Practice 1

1. Look at the pictures of Practice 1, T point to some pictures and ask some questions.

2. Listen and choose the best answer. 3. Listen and repeat the sentences.

4. Ss use the pictures to make a short dialogue. Step Three: Reading and writing

1. Ss read the passage, and answer T’s questions: Where are the students going? What are they going to do? What is Xiaoming doing in the Seniors’ Center?

2. Ss read the passage again and try to write down the answer of Exercise 2.

3. Check the answers.

4. Teach some phrases in the passage: tell a story, take a photo, have fun, sing a song. Let the Ss finish Exercise 3.

5. Repeat the passage; choose the words to fill in the blanks. Step Four: Extension

(1) Write letter ‘o’ on the board, and teach the sound. (2) Read the sound of “op”, then try to read “shop, stop, hop” Read the sound of ‘ ong’, then try to read “ song, long, strong” (3) Try to read all the words in pairs and have some pairs read out. (4) Listen and number. 2. Listen and read.

(1) Lead in: Have Ss think about the Chinese story “ 乌鸦和狐狸” (2) Read the story with T, and try to understand the story. (3) Read after the tape and then read in pairs. Step Three: Activity 1. T makes a model
