One Sunday, I was reading my book while it suddenly occurred to me that it was my mother birthday the next day. However, I forgot it complete. I was worried that I didn’t prepare any present to her. This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot. What impressed me most was the interviews carrying out in the street. In the beginning, I wasn’t used to talk to strangers. But with my teammate encouragement, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers we got were brief. After a discussion, my teammates and I realized that was why our questions weren’t open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share with us their ideas in end.
From this experience I’ve gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.

Last night a strong wind as well as a heavily rain struck our area. News came that the trees in the park two kilometers away from our school was blown down. This
afternoon, they set off the park to do some cleaning. The head of the park met us or gave us some advice on how to clear away the falling trees, branches and leaves. Some times later, we were working hard when it begins to rain. Because few of us had taken along umbrellas or raincoats, so we were all wet. In London at last, we are having great time!
To stay in a hotel in an old castle, and we tried to make a reservation. However, that hotel was booked full. So, instead, we get a couple of beds in a dormitory. There is a tradition in my family. On New Year’s Eve, all my relative will come to our house for a feast. As matter of fact, it isn’t the food that bring us together but the sense of belonging does. Making dumplings was always great fun. We put a coin into one of the dumplings. Everybody expects to eat the one with the coin inside, because it is said whomever gets the coin will have good fortune in the followed year. When my mom serves the dumplings, they help ourselves immediately, hoping to get the good luck in our entirely year. The coin never comes to me, and I am pretty sure of that the luck is always there.

As a high school student, it is an usual experience that you drag yourself out of bed and rush to school early in the morning. However, with the new guideline to start school later carries out, many students can now stay in bed longer than before. Some schools have been chosen to test this new guideline, that is expected to be used in others areas in 2019.
