(M：) My name is Mike. I came to Germany to study as an exchange student in a school last year. Everything was strange and new for me. But the hardest problem was with German! I failed to understand much in the first few weeks because everyone spoke so fast. Though I soon managed to get used to it, I still had problems because their everyday German was very different from what we learnt in England. Another difference was that in Germany, people had a big meal at lunchtime and then something smaller in the evening. But in England we do just the opposite. I also noticed that lots of Germans seemed to wear scarves, especially in northern Germany where it could be quite cold. I was told by a teacher at my school that I would not survive here without a scarf so I quickly bought one. Anyway, it was an exciting and valuable experience for me. Some students play smart phones too long a day. This is a serious problem. In the past, students used to play outside more often, but now they spend more time in front of the screens. Some scientists think it is important to research outer space. From that people can get a better understanding of outer space. New resources can be found there for humans. The explorations can probably bring about new living space for human’s life.
However, most of the people don’t believe so, because they say all kinds of explorations cost much money. And it’s very dangerous for astronauts to do much work.
In order to improve our space for living, such explorations into outer space are worth trying out.
