由于历史和观念等多方面的原因，我国大鲵行业一直走的是一条小规模、粗放型、低效益之路，没有发挥出其整体效益和产业优势。具体主要表现在：一是养大鲵量少而散，为传统作坊式生产，组织化程度低，难以适应市场经济条件下的社会化大生产的需要；二是产品综合开发和利用水平低，粗加工产品多，深加工的高科技、高附加值的产品很少，整体收益水平难以提高；三是养大鲵行业缺乏宏观调控，农、林、医等部门都管又都不管，发展上带有盲目性，经营上互相攀比压价，使资源浪费和流失；四是市场销售服务体系不完善，市场应变能力差。如何解决上述问题，提高抗风险能力已成为养大鲵行业的当务之急。因此，创建具有中国特色的大鲵业企业，实现养大鲵生产的产业化、规模化、科学化，创造我们自己的产品品牌，走科、工、贸一体化的发展道路，是市场经济条件下大鲵行业发展的必然趋势。因此，建设**县大鲵蛋白肽粉生产项目意义重大。
