The teacher give a song to students. Are you sleeping.
After the song, answer one question. What is Brother John doing?
Justification: The present progressive tense of this lesson can be lead in. StepII Teach the Present Progressive.
.Introduction: Talk about the title of this unit. Show some pictures to introduce the Present Progressive tense.
T: What’s she/he doing? Ss: She/He is v-ing (Help the Ss to answer the questions and show the sentences)
Let the Ss to say what the Present Progressive is. . Tell the difference
Write down the V-ing forms by another lines of go, watch, do, play and eat . Ask the Ss to have a look and find the difference between them. For example: go and going, watch and watching, do and doing, etc. Then ask the Ss to read them again and do more exercises. StepIII.Activity 1a:Match
Help the Ss talk about the pictures. The Ss read these V-ing words. after the teacher. Match the words and the activities. Check the answers.
2.Help the Ss do “Ask and answer” practice in pairs.
3.Ask some Ss to do actions and let the class guess what he/she is doing. StepIV.Activity 1b & 1c: Listening and pair work.
1. Play the recording for the Ss to listen. Play again. Ss listen and write the number of the activity each person is doing. Check the answers.
2. Pairwork: Ask the Ss to do “Ask and answer” practice about the picture in pairs. Some pairs present their dialogues to the class.
Step 5.Activity 2a & 2b: Listening and Practice.
1.Activity 2a:Talk about the picture in 2b.Ask the Ss to read the questions in 2a. Then listen to the tape and and write the answers. Check the answers.
2.Activity 2b:Play the recording again. Help the Ss put these questions and answers in order to make a conversation. Go through the answers with the Ss. Step 6 Pairwork: Activity 2c
1.Talk about the pictures in 2c. Ask Ss to read the sample conversation. Let Ss look at the first group of pictures, and ask them to guess what the people are doing.
2. Then imitate the sample conversation, work in pairs. Some pairs present their dialogues to the class.
3.Group work. Talk about student’s family. What are their family doing now? Give them main sentence structures.
学情分析
我所教学的对象是七年级学生(以中等生为主),对英语普遍感兴趣,喜欢直观形 象思维,喜欢游戏、竞赛等。但有很大的不稳定性,好奇心强,求知欲旺盛,他们学习英语既感到好奇又担忧,希望能得到他人的肯定。因此我在在设计课堂教学活动时我结合学生的情况,采用比赛、小组合作等灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意,努力营造玩中学、学中玩的教学情境。课堂上尽量以鼓励表扬为主,鼓励学生开口说英语、特别是给差生创造机会,让他们尝试成功的喜悦。课堂教学中,只有学生乐于参与,主动参与,学生的思维才会处于活跃状况,吸收知识才会迅速,学习英语才不会让学生觉得是“苦差事”。同时这些孩子们有着极强的求知欲和表现欲。根据学生的心理特点,我在课堂上多以表扬为主,注重对学生英语学习兴趣的培养,鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、努力讲!通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。七年级学生对一般现在时较为熟悉,但是不知道如何表达在日常活动中人们正在做的事情。这部分内容贴近生活实际,我相信他们会对本单元的学习感兴趣。
效果分析
本节课老师始终以学生为主体,充分利用多媒体,通过图文并茂的方式,利用游戏, 视频等方式进行授课。通过本课时的学习,让学生掌握了一些家庭日常活动常用的动词短语:make soup , read a newspaper , talk on the phone , listen to the CD , wash the dishes , exercise ,clean , use the computer , watch TV 。通过小组合作,自主探究的方式初步学习了现在进行时,知道了现在进行时的定义,结构和用法。学习了动词现在分词的构成规则。学会了用What are you doing/ What is he / she doing ? 来谈论人们正在做的事情。然后通过听力训练巩固了现在进行时。并且能够看图片用英语写出人们正在做的事情。同时培养了学生用英语获取信息,与人合作的能力。激发学生学习英语的兴趣和热情,使他们在接近生活场景的交际中乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,达到了本课时的教学目标。
教材分析
一、教学内容:
本单元是Go for it(七下)Unit 6。是围绕“everyday activities”这一个话题
“谈论现在正在进行或发生的动作”,主要的教学内容是现在进行时,以“What are you doing?”这一主题引出现在进行时的一般疑问句,否定句以及特殊疑问句等语言功能。让学生掌握重点句型“What are you doing?” “I am...”并学会运用所学的词汇和句型谈论人们正在做的事情。本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习、交流环境,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用语言的能力。并让学生能在“做中学”(learning by doing),在“学中用”,通过有限的课堂实践活动,注意观察别人的行动,能准确地用英语来表达。 二、教材的地位和作用:
“Go for it”教材有一个比较明显的编排特点,那就是每单元由Section A,Section B 和Self Check三大版快组成,同时每个版块又由a,b,c等几小部分构成,内容循序渐进,符合学生的认知规律,教材图文并茂,既能吸引学生的注意力,又能激发学生的学习兴趣,每一小部分中的c部分是pairwork,培养了学生的合作意识,同时还有听力训练,培养了学生的听说能力。
1a-1c展示了日常活动的图片和大量的动作短语,通过创设“打电话”情景自然引
出本单元的重点语法结构——现在进行时,然后让学生根据图片尝试运用新的语言结构询问和回答对方正在做的事情。2a-2c部分延续了“打电话”的情景,不仅仅谈论现在进行的活动,还过渡到两人协商并提出建议一起去进行某些活动。话题更贴近生活实际,能让学生通过听和说感悟一般现在时态和现在进行时态的使用语境及其用法。2a、2b主要训练学生通过听说来获取细节的技巧,然后让学生通过分角色操练2b和2c的对话,亲身体验“打电话”,使其在真实的交际情景中初步运用所学语言结构。
