导论课对我而言，它就像一扇窗户，通过它我看到了机械殿堂的无限风光。对该类机械专业的就业机械专业前景存在着误解，认为该类机械专业的对口工作看起来不太“体面”，并且每天的生活会枯燥无趣。而通过学习，我看到其实机械类机械专业也并非全部都只是和硬梆梆的机器打交道，机械领域与其他高新技术领域的完美结合使得机械专业成为了一个“纳百川，采众长”的领域。并且课堂上一段产品制造的视频让我感到与硬邦邦的机器打交道也并不枯燥，看到一个个零件在机床中加工，感到它们就是完美的艺术品，机床就是伟大的雕刻家，一切变得那么神奇。 一、“ 机械设计制造及其自动化”的现状和地位：
机械设计制造及其自动化对国家经济发展的重要性也是巨大的，可以说对国民经济的发展起着不可替代的作用，有人这样说,“机械设计制造及其自动化，撑起不落的机械帝国”。随着微电子技术、信息技术、计算机技术、材料技术和新能源技术等高新技术与机械设计制造技术的相互交叉、渗透、融合，使传统意义上的机械设计制造技术在原有基础上得到了质的飞跃，形成了当代的先进设计制造技术，与传统的机械设计制造技术相比既有继承，又有很大发展。

通过学习，我也认识到了虽然我国是制造大国，但是并非是制造强国。我们的制造水平与世界发达国家如美国、日本、德国等相比很大的差距。高技术产品与发达国家相比仍有较大差距，主要表现在制造工艺装备的落后，低水平生产力严重过剩，高水平生产力严重不足，产品质量和技术不高，技术开发能力不强，科技技术严重不足，技术创新能力十分薄弱，产业结构不尽合理，体制不能适应形势的发展需求等。一系列差距使得我国一些高精密仪器仍需要从国外进口，才能满足我国生产发展的需要。
作为一名大学生，首先，要明确学习目的，端正学习动机。当前市场竞争十分激烈，竞争说到底是人才的竞争，光有文凭而缺乏真才实学最终还是要被淘汰的。所以我们来湖北工业大学学习应该是为获得知识而学，为求得真才实学而学，而不仅仅是为了一张文凭。既来之，则学之，要珍惜在湖北工业大学的学习时光，认真一丝不苟的去学。不欺骗学校和老师，更重要的是不欺骗自己。
