PURPOSE: To control the cataphoresis of a particle in gel and to adjust the shape and orientation of electric field by
identifying the particle by operating the electric field generated by an electrode arranged along a two-dimensional close-down contour line to the particle in a proper medium. CONSTITUTION: A net resistance between electrodes located at corners is switched along with the orientation of an electric field, thus making a potential suitable for the
orientation. For that purpose, six resistors are added in parallel between six pairs of electrodes located at the corners. In the case of four pairs of electrodes, resistors R25-R28 are added in series with diodes D5, D8, D17, and D20. A potential
