教学内容 Unit 5 It’s time to change.(第一课时) 课时 1 1.Students can know and use words describing health “pale, weak ,fat, thin, sleepy, angry etc”. 知识与2.Ss can understand phrases about weekend activities, such as: 技能: climb the mountain, do outdoor activities, watch TV, stay at home etc. 过程与方法: 1.Practice. 2.Listening to the tape and doing exercises. 情感态度价值To be able to love their lives. 观: 教学重点 Learn new words such as :pale,lose wight,diet,get rid of . Step 1.Words&Expressions 1.Learn the following words and teach the new words: pale,keen ,be keen on ,weight ,lose weight ,diet , be on a diet ,slim ,skip ,stay up ,put on weight , get rid of ,no longer ,jog 2.Leave time for students to read the new words and read in pairs, and then invite some students to read before class loudly ,if it is necessary,check together. Step 2.Lead -in 1.Matching game Let students choose the right adjectives to describe the pictures on the screen. 2.Discussion and match Discuss how they can keep healthy. Match the suggestions with the pictures in Activity 1. Step 3.Listening 1.Pre-listening Asking several students questions about doing outdoor activities: Do you often do outdoor activities or do you often stay at home? 2.While-listening (1)Listen and answer questions Listen to the tape for the first time and find out who will climb the mountain and who will stay at home this weekend. (2)Listen and complete Students listen to the tape again and decide whether the statements are true or false. If it is false, find out the reasons. (3)Listen and fill in the blanks. Listen again, and fill in the blanks with the words in the Learn WordsExpressions. the & Play the game. Discuss match. Answer questions. Listen to the tape . and
