1．There we put up our tents and made a fire to keep us warm and cook food on.在那里我们架起帐篷，生火取暖并做饭。(课本第71页)
(1)put up意为“建造；盖起(房子)；搭起(帐篷等)”。与put相关的短语有：put on(穿上；上演；发胖)，put out(扑灭)。
(2)make a fire意为“生火”。
(3)keep意为“保持”，后面跟形容词，意为“使……保持某种状态”。

“so＋形容词或副词＋that...”引导结果状语从句，意为“如此……以至于……”，其同义短语为too...to...。

(1)shout to意为“朝……喊叫”，to在此作介词，表示指向。而shout at sb.多指因生气或愤怒“冲某人大声吼叫、嚷嚷”。
(2)to let them know about the danger不定式短语在此表示目的，作目的状语。 4．This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest near the lake.这弄醒了蛇，蛇爬进了湖边的森林里。(课本第71页)
wake up意为“唤醒”，wake是及物动词，up是副词，此短语后面可以跟名词或代词，
跟名词时可以放在wake up的后面或中间，但是如果是跟代词的话应放于wake up的中间。,
