Dear friends, do you want to become a confident (自信的) person? And how to gain (获得) self-confidence? Let’s read the following passage!
To be a confident person
On the cover (封面) of many magazines, we always see a beautiful girl or a handsome boy in fashionable (时尚的) clothes, with a cool hairstyle and a lovely smile.
Many of us want to be like him or her. Unfortunately (不幸地), almost none of us can be as perfect as the film stars or singers we see on television or in the magazines. This is not a question of ability (能力). The stars have assistants who fix their hair, put on make-up (化妆品) for them, and choose their fashionable clothes.
But confident people are not trying to be someone else and not always thinking about ways to become cooler. So how to gain self-confidence?
The first step is to be happy about who you are. If you feel comfortable (舒服的) with who you are, you will never feel lonely.
Next, find out what you enjoy doing, and try to do it more often. If you become proud (自豪的) of your abilities, you will feel happy and confident when you tell others about yourself.
After you start to love yourself and stop comparing (比较) yourself to others, you will learn something interesting. Other people will also like the real you, and soon you will have many friends who like you just as you do.
