词汇考查的重点是词义辨析,主要是对动词、形容词、名词等实词词义的辨析,并且尤其要注意一词多义。有很多同学记单词时只记最常用的那一个意思,但往往考试的时候,考查的却不是该单词的那一种含义。例如given,大家最熟悉的是 given是 give的过去分词,但given还有另外两个常用含义,一个是\特定的,假设的\(形容词),另一个是\鉴于\(介词),如:Given their inexperience, they did a good job. (鉴于他们缺乏经验,他们干得不错了。) They were to meet at a given time and place.
