1 . Leader or member?
When working in a group, there are many different positions, but basically, one can think of a group as having two job types: member and leader. Some people believe that it is better to be a member of a group than it is to be the leader. However, I think it is better to be a leader in a group because as the leader, one's ideas are more likely to be heard, he/she is more likely to receive accolades for complete work, and he/she is able to make important decisions for the group.
The leader of a group has the strongest voice of all. If someone enjoys coming up with new, exciting concepts and making a difference in a project, then he/she should be the leader. It can be a frustrating experience at time to be a member of a group. At times, a member's ideas are not taken seriously, because he/she does not have respect that the leader has. If one leads a group, his/her ideas will always be heard and respected, and usually followed through with.
When a project is complete, it is the leader that receives accolades for doing a good job. While the entire team gets some respect and appreciation upon completion, it is the leader who receives the most admiration. This is an advantage for building one's resume, and generally gaining respect in society. People always respect the leader of a group more than the members.
Moreover, it is better to be the leader of a group than a member because the leader is able to wield the power. Being the leader means getting a say in all decisions, and often, is allowed to follow through with any ideas that he/she thinks up. This can mean that things that a person finds important will be completed quickly and efficiently.
Overall, I believe that it is better to be the leader of a group than to be a member. A leader can make decisions, follow through with them, and receive recognition for a job well done. However, there are of course some negatives of being a leader. The leader has much more responsibility for the project than anyone else, and if there is a failure, it is the leader's fault. If a person is willing to take on this added responsibility, then being a leader is by far the best position.
2 . Some people say computers have brought convenience to our life, others think computers make life complex and stressful. What's your opinion?
Nowadays, with the development of technology, the frequency of computers' use has increased rapidly in the world, where in both developed and developing countries. There have many advantages of it, while some people may think the usage of computers is complex and makes their lives more stressful. In fact, I have to admit that computers have made our lives easier and more convenient, which obviously outweigh than its disadvantages.
Obviously, computers have made our lives easier; especially in contact with others, which can be represented by comparing other ways of contact. For sure, before the advent of computers, people contact one another by writing, calling and visiting in person, which are all good ways and are still used today. However, computers keep the relationship among people tighter and easier than those ways. This means people do not need to wait for correspondences from others, rather, to receive an E-mail immediately. Moreover, people are able to keep in touch economically with microphones through internet, the cost of which is relatively cheaper than making a phone call. Conversation online has gradually

replaced calling by a phone. Furthermore, visiting in person has declined because people can see their family and friends online by digital cameras. So, what a convenient way by using computer to keep in touch one another!
Moreover, computers have made our lives more convenient, especially for disable people. It is known that the advent of computers benefits disable people a lot. Believe or not, they are almost able to do everything by manipulating computers, including purchasing, paying bills, searching information and education. Computers allow them to fulfill their dreams and achieve their performances, which almost couldn't be done without computers.
Of course, anything has its two sides. Some people, especially the elder, may not be able to follow the steps of improvement of technology. They tend to think handling a computer may be difficult because they do not know how to use it and do not need to use. In fact, not only computers they think complicated but other updated staffs as digital cameras and videos. On the other hand, some people may think computers have made their lives more stressful because the rapid improvement of computers may be hard to be followed. They may feel stressful and uncomfortable by this.
Nevertheless, although computers have some disadvantages to certain people, I still believe its advantages are more outstanding. Computers indeed have made people' lives easier and more convenient, which is no doubt. Also, I believe one day everyone will get used to use a computer and will be unpleasing without it.
My favorite way of communication is talking face to face. Although there are so many ways to communicate, however, i think the face to face talk is the most efficient and direct. People always say, I can only thrust the things when I see them. I believe that. People can chat with qq or other tools (e-mail, phone, letter etc), but in this communicating methods, although we can get the information, but we can't identify the environment. This environment means the people's conditions during the communication. Is he/she in good mood, satisfy or not, positive or negative. With these environmental information, we can adjust our words.
When you talk with an stranger, you can not get acquaint with he or she with the voice or their handwriting. When you meet someone and ready to talk face to face. When you see your \or her character. then, during the communication you can check whether your prediction is correct. It is interesting, because sometime you will find, the different is very big. After a face to face communication, a guy who you don't like when you see him/her with first eye finally become your best friend. this feeling is wonderful. So, I like to talk face to face.
3 . 你最想为你的community做的一件事
I am a college student major in computer science. As far as I am concerned, taking advantage of my superiority in computer and training my neighbors the basic computer skills would benefit all my community. My reasons are listed as follows.
First and foremost, grasping computer skills helps people to succeed in business.
Presently, we can hardly find a decent job that does not require the basic computer skills. Therefore, if people in my community grasp this skill, they would have more chance to find a well-paid job in the office instead of low-paid but toilsome professions like coal miner, cleaner or craftsman. Then, people with extra money would be willing to donate part of it

to improve the living facilities in our community. In short, I would help both the individuals and the whole community.
Another advantage of training people the basic computer skills is that it benefits people to get along well with each other. As things stand now, people in my community are becoming distant. Trap themselves in their own house; walk through the path without friendly smile to each other. Things would get better if people have more opportunities to gather together. If people all come to my computer class, it would allow them to chat with each other. Some may become good friends. Helping each other to solve problems in learning would deepen their friendship, as a result, increasing the friendly atmosphere of our community.
Furthermore, people would obtain more pleasure from computer if they understand how to use it, which helps relax their nervous mind. Living in the increasingly competitive world, people have to face various stresses arising from family, society and profession. Involving in a fictional world would help people to escape from the real world for a while. They could have more choices, such as computer games, internet communication, and also movies downloaded through the internet, which are more interesting than just watching boring TV programs.
In a word, since I am skilled in computer science and training people the basic computer skills would bring them many advantages, I am pleased to do something beneficial to my community.
4 . Do you think China's membership of WTO will benefit China or not
Well, it's a big issue and a lot of people are thinking about it. I'm quite sure it'll benefit China and other WTO members as well if China becomes a member of the WTO. The common Chinese consumer will benefit most from it because prices of imported products will go down. Also, the quality and after-sales services of national products will be
improved. I guess the main danger we have to face is the new competition to our national industries but I think they're up to the challenge.
5. Do you disagree or agree one can judge people by first impressions
Any opinion is, in fact, a judgment. I feel that as Americans we would do well to judge others less often. Still, we must be able to decide whom to spend our time with and whom we’d rather forget. In my opinion, this type of judgment is best after we get to know other people. First impressions are not always accurate impression.
Judging a person based on a first impression does save time. There are more people than anyone could possibly get to know in one lifetime. It is frustrating to waste time getting to know someone, only to find out that your first impression was correct and that you really don’t like him or her. So is it a waste of time getting to know people your probably won’t like? That seems to be a valid point of view, but I believe that it is not the best attitude to take.
It’s more humane to spend time getting to know people before judging them. I know that I don’t always make a good first impression even when I truly like the person with whom I am interacting. We all have bad days, I wouldn’t want to lose a job or a potential friendship simply because I picked out the wrong clothing or said something wrong. I think everyone deserves the chances make a second impression.

If we all base our final opinion of others on first impression, it would be hard to get to know anyone. There is always more to people than meets the eye. If we don’t give someone a chance, we may be missing out on meeting a life-long friend. That would truly be shame. 6 . What are the advantages and disadvantages of a freely convertible currency?
I think a freely convertible currency isn't the best choice of China. Now I will clarify my views.
At present , China is still in the process of reform and development . In the long term , the national economy will also make structural adjustment. The task of structural adjustment will increase the uncertainty of prospect of Chinese economy. If a freely convertible currency was carried out , exchange rate of RMB will more accurately reflect the supply and demand of capital in the financial market . As a result , the pressure of RMB appreciation will be released. From then on, market expectation will change. The
uncertainty which structural adjustment produce will make exchange rate of RMB faced more uncertainty. So only when the task of structural adjustment of Chinese economy was completed, the policy of a freely convertible currency would be feasible.(reason)
So I proposed my suggestion , the basic process as follows: At present, we should still adopt the additional linked exchange rate system, introduce foreign direct investment by opening of capital market, accelerate the structural adjustment of Chinese economy by inflow of international capital. Along with the constant perfection of Chinese economy, We will build a marketizational freely convertible currency at last.
7 . Do you think China will allow the RMB to freely flood on the international market in the next 5 years?
The goal of the reform of the RMB exchange rate regime is to improve the exchange rate mechanism and maintain the RMB exchange rate basically stable at an adaptive and equilibrium level. Large fluctuations of the RMB exchange rate will exert heavy shocks to the economic and financial stability of China, thus do not fit in with China’s fundamental interests. We will not tolerate such large fluctuations in the reform of the RMB exchange rate regime. First, after the reform, the RMB will no longer be pegged to a single currency, and instead the RMB exchange rate will become adjustable based on market supply and demand with reference to exchange rate movements of currencies in a basket. The exchange rate changes of major currencies in the international market will objectively reduce volatility of the RMB exchange rate. Second, with a strengthened role of market instruments like the exchange rate in resource allocation, improved relationship between supply and demand of foreign exchange, and the enhancement of the stabilizing
mechanism for the balance of payments, China’s BOP (balance of payments) position is likely to be kept in broad equilibrium, which will lay a solid economic foundation for the stability of the RMB exchange rate. Third, active measures will be taken to coordinate various macroeconomic policies and steadily push ahead reforms in different areas to create a favorable policy environment for the stability of the RMB exchange rate. Finally, the People’s Bank of China will make unrelenting efforts to improve macroeconomic
management and foreign exchange administration so as to faithfully fulfill its responsibility in maintaining the stability of the RMB exchange rate. 8 . Has technology given us a better life

Modern technology makes life more convenient; tools are the milestones of the technology as well as human being＇ s progress.
Men used to cut trees with hand saw. But now, by using electronic saw they can cut down a tree in only a few minutes. Another example is more vivid: You have something urgent which has to be informed to your friend whose house is two hour＇s ride away. You probably want to make a phone call. But no telephone is installed in your friend＇ s home. What could you do? Nowadays, with modern technology advancing, using internet is popular with us. Some years ago, people had to get what they wanted through looking into a lot of information; at last people could become tired and spent too much time. Now, if you use Internet, all becomes a piece of cake. Only by clucking, you will gain what you expect.
We all hope that modern technology will reach a higher level, because modern technology makes life more convenient indeed.

Everything lives with opposite forces. The same can be said about modern technology, such as Internet.
At first glance Internet offers us excitement and a whorl of promise. Frankly speaking, people who have some ideas of it can not deny the merits born with the system. For instance, it can improve proficiency in scientific research, for by means of it scientists and researchers can get a global look at the latest development in the field concerned and accordingly they need spend no time doing what has already been done. In view of personal communication, the most convenient means could be peculiar to Internet, too. While people speak highly of Internet, its drawbacks shouldn’t be neglected. Sometimes, a little fatal breakdown of the system, or a disastrous error could bring us an enormous amount of damage and loss. Meanwhile, with Internet＇s replacement of books or the written work as the main source of information, human＇s writing abilities are weakened and relations between people are desalinated.
However, every country on this planet should work hard to develop the system to serve us more efficiently and comfortably, because in the net all countries are interrelated. 10 . The Advantages and Disadvantages of Internet
The following aspects could best illustrate the advantages of Internet. Netsurfers (网上冲浪者) in different countries can share interesting knowledge and the latest information. Besides, Internet has provided a major opportunity to buy and sell merchandise (商品). What is more, people may get medical help or even vote on Internet. Its advantages seem countless.
Behind all this glowing talk, however, are some problems. Internet makes people passive by stopping them making their own entertainment. So much so that when there is a breakdown or jam, people may find that World Wide Web turns into World Wide Wait. What is worse, some children have access to the scenes of violence and sex. Apart from these, it can be affected by viruses(病毒) and hackers (黑客).
