二.定冠词the
1.需要加“the”的情况:
(1)表示世上独一无二的事物,
这里说的世上独一无二的事物主要指the sun, the moon, the earth, the sky, the universe, the world等东西。如:
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. 太阳从东方起,西方落下 (2) 演奏各种乐器名词前加“the”,如:
play the piano, play the violin, play the triangle, play the drum (3)用在某些习惯用语中 如:
in the morning, in the afternoon , go to the cinema 等
2. 不需要加“the”的情况:
(1)按英语习惯,在表示学科、语言、三餐、月份、季节、节假日、星期等名词前,通常用零冠词。如:
It’s time for Music class. It’s time to have breakfast.
It’s twelve o’clock. We are having lunch. School begins in September. 九月开学。
The Spring Festival usually comes in January or February. Peter goes to school from Monday to Friday. (2) 各种球类运动前:如
