基本规范
1。汉语拼音方案拼音,不得按照方言来拼写人名,也不得意译。邓小平 不能翻译成 Deng Small Flat
2。姓在前,名在后。邓小平 Deng Xiaoping, 姚明Yao Ming 3。姓和名首字母大写。Hu Jintao
4。为避免误会,名可以加单引号区别。如李建国:Li Jian’guo 因为 Li Jianguo 可能会被误认为:Li Jiang’uo 或者 Li Ji’an’guo
部门名称的写法
1。Department 可以简写为Dept. 但是注意后面一定有个点。
2。Department 可以写为 Section/Division
3. 注意区别基数词和序数词。基数词用语名称、标牌、名录、地址等,序数词用于叙述文字,即由完整的句子构成的一段话和一篇文章。此只适用于名称中。 因此,不能写作 No. 8th Export Department.
4。书面写作中多用基数词,但是可以读作序数词。 职称/职务
1。应遵循英语国家惯例。
2。职称职务应当使用单词或短语
3。不用介词或介词短语,不要写成句子 4。不用冠词
企业名称 1。山东省济南市燕山机电贸易公司中山东省济南市非企业名称:英文中不写。如Ford Motor Company,不是US Ford Motor Company,但是我们中文都说美国福特汽车公司,美国非公司名称一部分。
2。英语名称的建议写法:Yanshan Mechanical & Electronic Products Trading Co., Ltd. 前面专有部分,后面 Co.,Ltd.为通名部分。 地址地名
1。省与市是两个部分,各做一个单词对待
2。大写第一个字母,且一般只大写第一个字母 3。拼音形式,不可意译。(不可:East of Mountain Province) 4。按照英文习惯,先小后大。 5。有些词需加分隔,有的不需。(Weifang, Ji’ning,Laiwu, Beijing,Shanghai, xi’an) 邮政编码
1。邮政编码是地址的一部分,因此要在地址部分,不要放在其他地方,如不能和手机号放在一起。
2。英语中邮编不单独成行,在省与国家之间。 如:Shandong Province 250014 P.R. China 或两行形式:Shandong Province 250014 P.R. China
第二章 请柬、贺卡、信封 格式
第一行:主人姓名
第二行:request the pleasure/honor of your company或 request the honor of your presence 等 第三行:客人的姓名 第四行:company at….
第五行:日期,包括星期、月、日 第六行:钟点
第七行:地点 注意
1。姓名要全写,前加Mr. and Mrs. 或者 Dr. and Mrs. 或者His Excellency Mr. 等称呼。 2。时间用单词,不能用阿拉伯数字。 3。联系电话一般写在右下方。
4。着装要求一般写在左下方或右下方 贺卡
是重要的社交手段。
功能:沟通感情、加深友谊、消除误解
西方国家使用贺卡:频率高、场合多、数量大。
节日:圣诞节、新年、复活节、感恩节、母亲节、送贺卡表示祝愿、庆贺和问候。 特殊的日子:生日、婚礼、周年,也送贺卡致意。 商店里面现成的很多,可选购!
信封
公司一般有自己的版式风格(house style):
指的是页面设计、信封尺寸、标点符合等方面特点鲜明。 第三章 文本分析(上) 标题问题
动词:asking, opening. 汉语喜欢用动词,但是英语喜欢用名词。所以asking 在这里做动名词,语法上没有错,但是语用学上不可以。 日期问题
汉语的函件,日期在后,英文大都在正文的前面。 大小写问题
题目中的第一个单词和重要单词都要大写第一个字母。 meeting-room 应该大写Meeting-room 或者Meeting Room. Dear director 也应该大写第一个字母Director. 语义问题
语义指的是你所说的话的含义。因此:Meeting-room 可以的,也可以Conference Room 中式英语问题
以上问题很多都是中式英语,即英语写法停留在字面翻译上。假如这样的英语就是英语写作,我们就不用学习了,上网或用个软件翻译一下即可。 语法问题
To look forward to 中的to 不能省略。 称呼和落款问题
上司一般是知道姓名的,应当使用姓名,至少使用姓,如Dear Mr. Smith或者Dear Mr. John Smith.
第四章 文本分析(下)
写作是个“主观”的问题:同一个意思可以有多样的表达方式,对同一种表达方式,读者也会提出不同的看法。因此:打分和评论,目的是剖析常见问题,知道自己的位置和水平,可能并不准确,只是老师个人的看法,你当了老师,你可以有另外的标准。 列夫,托尔斯泰《安娜·卡列琳娜》有句名言:幸福的家庭都是相似的,不幸的家庭却各有各的不幸。 造句:对的和好的写作都是相似的,差的和错的写作却各有各的问题。
A=错。有一堆英文字,但没有信息流,或者本质上失误。老板看到后眉头紧皱、青筋突出、满面怒气,或者高深莫测的笑脸。(2~4/10) B=差。老板至少看了两遍,困惑,盼着你解释一番,或者自个儿想半天到底什么意思。(3~5/10) C=对。老板全神贯注的看,不需要你解释;老板不太专注的看:你业务还可以,英语不行,翻译可以,写作不行,他知道你知道,他明白你不明白。(5~7/10)
D=对而且好。老板看你写的东西时候或者打着盹,或者吃着饭,或者聊着天,或者想着他的。。。,都能看明白。(8~10/10)
第五章致 辞
? 致辞也叫“致词”、“祝词”等,是在举行仪式等许多交往场合各方负责人发表的礼节
性讲话。
? 东道主一方作的致词可以有:欢迎词、欢送词、祝贺词等等
? 客人一方作的致词可以有:告别辞、答谢词、哀悼词等等
? 还有:开幕词、闭幕词、就职典礼辞、招待会祝酒辞、奠基词、开业揭幕词等等。 ? 一般而言,致辞由标题、日期、称谓和正文组成:
? 标题:表明祝词的类别:如就职演说、开幕词、祝酒辞 ? 日期:在标题的下面隔一行中央注明日期
? 称谓:常见的有:Mr. President Distinguished Guests Ladies and Gentlemen ? 正文:致词的主体,有许多固定的套语,需要注意场合
? 注意:标题和日期可以省略,在书面上要写出来,目的是便于查询和复制。 常用语句:欢迎辞
