Step 1: Free talk: Describe your hometown or the tour you take this summer.

Step 2. Listen to the new words on Page 107 and repeat. Step 3. Learn the 11 new words: along, across, opposite, turn (left, right), bank, museum, tourist, street, guidebook, bookshop, underground with pictures. Then look at Activity 1 and find the pictures for the 4 new words.
Next, SS listen and number the places as they hear them. Step 4. Activity 3:
1) Watch the video and answer the questions:
A. Where does the tourist want to go? (Wangfujing Dajie, a bookshop-Xi
Chang’an Jie, the National Stadium-the Olympic Sports Centre.) B. Why does she want to go to a bookshop? 2) Watch the video and draw the map.
3) Read the conversation and answer the questions on Page 33.
