Warming up I. Give the students time to look at the picture at the first page of Unit 5. And discuss the following questions: 1. Where are they? 2. What are they doing? 3. What’s in their hands? II. Ask the students to listen to the recorder and match the pictures with the words in the box. (SB, p60) 教学环节设计 III. Ask the students some questions: 1. What do you often wear in summer? 2. Where do you usually buy your clothes, at supermarket or shopping centre? IV. Then ask the students to listen to a dialogue and do exercise 4 at page 60. Presentation I. Tell the students they are going to listen to a dialogue of Listening happened between the shop assistant and Lisa. Teach them how to use the words and expressions in the box: dirty, spot, on the back, have a look, notice … II. Ask the students to listen again and finish exercise 3 at page 61. III. Ask the students to read the dialogue in pairs. V. Then ask them to act out the dialogue in pairs. Listening Practice I. Ask the students to learn the new words and expressions by reading aloud after the recorder. II. Ask the students to read a short passage, which has several missing words. III. Ask the students to listen to the passage and fill in the blanks using the given words in the box (SB, p62) while listening. IV. Ask them to put the sentences in the right order according to what they hear. IV. Let them listen again and finish exercise 7 at page 62. 2

Ask them to work in pairs and do exercise 1 at page 66. *Encourage students to do exercise 2 at page 68.
