Abstract The nutritive value of common used feed materials in Tibet was evaluated in order to provide references for efficient utilization of these feed resources in ruminants. Eight feed materials including whole-plant corn silage£¬ highland barley straw£¬ rape straw£¬ green wheat hay£¬ alfalfa hay£¬ oat hay£¬ highland barley and rapeseed were collected for this experiment. The results indicated that the dry matter £¨DM£© content of whole-plant corn silage was less than 22%£¬ and the

fermentation coefficient and Fleig scores were lower. The contents of CP£¬ NDF£¬ ADF£¬ EE and ADL were different in different materials. The RFV of different materials was in the order of alfalfa hay > whole-plant corn silage > oat hay > green wheat hay > highland barley straw > rape straw. Their TDN was in the order of highland barley > whole-plant corn silage > oat hay > green wheat hay > highland barley straw > alfalfa hay > rape straw. In conclusion£¬ the fermentation quality of whole-plant corn silage needed further improvement£¬ and the rational utilization of roughage should be conducted based on production demand and material properties.
