1．a paper, a piece of paper
a paper中的paper是可数名词,意思是\论文\考试卷” “书面作业\报纸” “文件\证明文件” 例如:
1)Professor Li read a paper on how to teach English.李教授读一篇关于如何进行英语教学的论文。!
2)I'm going out to buy a paper.我要出去买一份报纸。
3) a piece of paper中的paper是不可数名词,意思是纸。如果要表达\两张纸\三张纸\要写成two pieces ofpaper, three pieces of paper。注意paper不能加\。
在表示不同种类的纸时,paper可作可数名词,也就写成papers.
2．above, over
above与over都可译作\在…. 上方\但是above表示在某物的上方或位置高于某物,不一定是正上方;而over却表示在某物的正上方。另外over还有\在……上面(即紧贴着)的意思。 例如:

alone意为“单独的”“独一无二的”,只是陈述一个客观事实,用作形容词,只能作表语,不作定语,它还可用作副词。
lonely意为“孤独的”表示主观上感到孤独、寂寞，有较浓厚的感情色彩,指一种悲伤、忧郁的感觉,只能用作形容词。作定语肘,意为“荒凉的”,一般多修饰地点名词。例如:
1).Her parents were dead and she was alone.她父母死了,留下她一个人。
2). He now fells even more lonely without his friend.没有了朋友,他现在感到更加孤独。
5. at school, in school
at school \在学校里\。还有\上学\在求学\之意。 In school \在学校里\。指场所,也可以表示\在上课时间\。 例如:
1).Andrew is getting on very we11at school.安德鲁在校学得很好。 2) We study several sciences in school.我们在校学习许多理科知识。
6. at table, at the table
at table的意思是\在吃饭\的意思是\坐在桌子旁气 例如 :
1. They are at table. (他们在吃饭。)
2. They are at the table. (他们正坐在桌子旁。)
