Jaye Gardiner loves comic books and she also loves science. Sensing an opportunity, she decided to combine the two.
In 2015, she and her two friends, Khoa Tran and Kelly Montgomery, founded an online
publishing company called JKX Comics. They decided to use a cartoon format and light humor to explain science to students. Their first comic book came out in 2016.
In the book, a virus goes out with friends to a human cell. The colorful visuals help illustrate the science, explains Tran. Through comics, his JKX coworkers hope to inspire the next generation to pursue STEM. STEM is short for science, technology, engineering and math.

To someone stuck in a traffic jam, the ability to soar(高飞)right over other cars seems like a dream. Inventors and businessmen tried to make flying cars, but have never been able to. That may be changing. Many companies are competing to be the first to develop a flying car.
One of the ideas being developed is a car with wings that unfold for flight. But most are more like helicopters instead of cars and they are operated by a battery-powered motor. He says advances in technology have opened the door to a whole new world of flying machines.
