There are several reasons. For starters, Chinese families are better off now and can afford international study for their kids. Secondly, in this age of globalization, it’s natural for people to move from country to country seeking opportunities, including opportunities in a different education system. Thirdly, studying abroad is a way for countries to learn from each other. When Chinese students return from overseas, they can help develop China.
