1.知识目标：
（1）通过学习该单元的内容，学会正确读出小动物的单词如：dog cat bird rabbit hamster turtle;
（2）掌握基本句型： What is this ? It is a .... What is that ? It is a ..... （3）学会用英语来描述自己喜欢的宠物。 2.能力目标：
（1）培养学生仔细观察图片，获取关键信息的能力； （2）培养辩证思维及策划、合作和交流的能力。 3.情感目标：
激发学习英语的兴趣，同时培养积极参与、乐于合作、大方交流的情感态度。
二、教学重难点
1. 用英语正确读出小动物的单词；
2. 选择自己喜欢的宠物并用英语来简单描述； 3. 区别掌握this、that的运用。
