T: Look at this little dog. Is it cute? Who’s its master? Oh, yes. The boy is the master. The dog is the boy’s. Look, this house is very large. Whose house is this? Right. It’s Kobe’s house. There’re a lot of shoes in this picture. Whose shoes are they? Yeah. The shoes are these women’s. Whose bedroom is this? It’s the brothers’. 2. Underline the first word ---boy’s with colorful chalk, and tell the students that: We add ’s to a singular noun to show that something belongs to someone or something. 3. Encourage the students to find out the rules by studying the sentences on the blackboard and book. ⑴ We often use ’s with names. ⑵ We add ’ to a plural noun ending in –s. ⑶ We add ’s to plural nouns that do not end in –s.
