5 Installation and dismantling RR 3000 / 3000L / 3000GL / 3000XXL / 3000ISO 5.1 Inspection of the delivery The door roll is partly pre-assembled when it arrives at site. The barrel with the rolled up curtain is located on a special transport- and installation rack. The columns are packed together with the lintel profile, springs and the cover-plates on a separate pallet. Drive, control unit and accessories are packed in a cardboard box. The door should be checked for damages when it arrives at site which may have been caused during transport and completeness by comparing the parts which are arrived and the list of parts mentioned within the corresponding paperwork. 5.2 Preparation of assemblage The installation site has to be checked with reference to the installation conditions, for example the necessary space, the character of the wall, levelness of the floor, etc. Perhaps a steel construction or an equivalent construction has to be made in advance. It is necessary to fix the columns of the door within the upper area on a solid background like a steel construction or a wall made of concrete. The light opening dimension (width and height) of the door have to checked and compared with the values given via the corresponding paperwork. The site of installation must be closed for any traffic during the installation. Before the installation can start the shrink-foil of the package has to be removed. Do not remove the plastic-belts which hold the barrel for transport. Subsequently remove the cover plates and take the springs, installation bag and adapter out of the columns and temporarily placed in a safe place. Do not install the doors on isolation panel walls, honeycomb bricks and lightweight partition walls. IM_RR3000-L-GL-XXL-ISO_EN16.doc 04.06.12 5.1 MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING 1. The barrel is placed on a pallet which works as a tool for transport and installation. The transport-ring is to be used by the forklift driver as shown above to avoid toppling of the complete top section while transport. 3. Control, drive and material for installation is packed together in a cardboard box. Screws and other fixing parts are packed in an installation bag. 4. If the floor declines the first side frame has to be arranged and fixed on the side of the higher level. The first side frame must be placed exactly per-pendicular. Transport ring 2. The side frames including the springs, lintel profile and the cover plates are located on a second pallet. IM_RR3000-L-GL-XXL-ISO_EN16.doc 04.06.12 5.2 MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING Set up the second side frame and screw it loosely onto the wall. Now screw on the lintel profile between both side parts Fix this second side frame in the upper area with the wall as you already did with the first one and check within the lower area the correct light opening width. Use the lintel profile (pic.8) as distance piece between both side frames. The light opening width is given by the dis- tance between the black plastic slide profiles of the side frames. Now complete the fixation of the side frame too. 7. Installation of second side frame 8. Fix the lintel profile within the upper area of the door with two screws per side. 5. Fix the side frame within the upper area with at least 4 screws. 6. Fix the side frame within the lower area with at least 2 screws on the floor or alternatively on the wall. IM_RR3000-L-GL-XXL-ISO_EN16.doc 04.06.12 5.3 MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING 11. Screw on the mounting plate with the side frame (1). Afterwards tighten the 3 screws of the flange-bearing (2). Move down the palette carefully. IM_RR3000-L-GL-XXL-ISO_EN16.doc 04.06.12 1 2 Crushing hazard 9. Lift up the barrel with assistance of a crane, forklift or equivalent device and lay down the com-plete barrel in the side frames as shown above. 10. The arrow of the mounting plate has to be positioned to point at the hole. With moving down the palette the barrel could rotate! Install first side covers for doors with top roll cover (see appendix 2) 12. Turn the hollow shaft of gear box according position of shaft key in barrel. Lift the drive and the control together and slide the gear drive onto the shaft of the barrel. 5.4 MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING 13. Chose the fixing points for MCC bracket and motor cover according door type and day-light height (DH). C B 1 3 A 4 2 A: RR3000ISO, RR3000XXL (DH>5000mm) B: RR3000, -L, -GL, -XXL (DH<=5000mm) 14. Connect the torque arrester (1), bracket mo-tor cover (2) and bracket MCC (3) with the side frame. Secure drive with washer and screw M8 x 20 (4). 15. Hang up control system (MCC) into bracket and fix position with screw (C). Connect MCC according separate manual. 16. Turn the barrel into correct position and re-move the plastic transport belts. (correct position = bottom lamella point down-ward) IM_RR3000-L-GL-XXL-ISO_EN16.doc 04.06.12 5.5
