1、The students can speak the words about my classmates. adj: blond, curly, slim, straight. n: twins, freckles. pron: his, her, their.
2.Make sure that most of the students can describe his\\her classmates to the other students.
3. To improve the students’ communication skills: The students can describe his\\ her classmates to the others.
4. To develop the students’ narration : To describe their family members to the others. 教学重点:

教学过程: Step1: Warming up:

To take a free talk ,in order to improve the students’ communication skills. Step2: Revision:
1)Review some adjectives: big(fat)\\ thin tall\\ short old\\ young ugly\\ pretty 2)Talk about some pictures with the sentence pattern: What does She\\He do? Step3: Presentation:
1)Talk about the topic picture, help the students to understand and learn the new words and main sentences.
2)Let the students look at the topic picture. Then teacher describe and ask: “His hair is red and straight. He has freckles. His T-shirt is yellow. What’s his name? Let the students answer the person’s name according to the description.
3)Play a memory game: Let the students close their books. Remind the persons’ appearance in the topic picture. The teacher can come through the sentence pattern to help the students. Ask them to answer depending on memory.
4)Listen to Part A several times, try to understand the meaning of the listening materials. Write the persons’ names on the lines according to the tape. Let the students to check the answer each other.
5)Teacher shows the word cards and the students look at them, meanwhile listen to the teachers’ reading which related to the persons’ appearance. Then let the students repeat.
6)Make some sentences: Teacher should direct the students to develop their imagination in full.
7) To practice in Pairs: Listen to Part B and follow it. Then practice in pairs. 8)After doing Part B : We will continue to do Part C. First Let the students fill in the blanks, then communication with their partners. Step4: Consolidation 1)Practice the new words. 2)Describe their classmates fluently Step5: Homework

b. Show the word cards . Direct the students to talk about the persons in the picture. Help them to understand the twelve adjectives . Pay attention to the following words: popular/hardworking,etc.
c. Play the tape for the children. Try to understand the meanings of listening materials. The teacher should tell them the uses of the sentence pattern: What’s he/she like?
d. To practice in pairs : First, give them an example. A: This boy has red hair. His shirt is white…… What’s his name? B: …………A: The girl often help others. What is she like? B:……..
e. Listen to Part A. First, understand the meaning of the listening materials. Then, number. At last, correct the answers each other.
f. The teacher shows the word cards, let them look at them and repeat.
