Step 1. Warming up 1. Sing an English song .

1. Set the scene.

a. Ask the children what they do on Monday .They should answer that they go to school . Then ask: Do you go to school every day ? Ss: No .

b. Present the word every . Write the word on the board and explain its meaning . Say the word aloud and have the children repeat it .

Step 3. Model the dialog

a. Present the flashcards for diary, Explain the meaning of the word .

Model the word and have the children repeat it .

b. Have children open their books at page4 .Drew the children’s attention to the

The picture of the diary .Say “This is Ann’s diary” .Point to the words Ann’s diary and read them aloud .

c. . Now point to the word Monday Read the word aloud and have

the children repeat .Repeat the procedure for the other words .

d. Review the days of the week in a drill ,starting with Monday. Point to each day in turn and have the children read out each word .

e. Present the question , “What do you do on (Monday )?” Write the question on the board and explain its meaning . Read the question aloud and have the children repeat it after you .

f. Point to the words go to school in the diary .Read the words aloud to the class, and have the children tepeat them .

g. Model the sentence . “We go to school on Monday .”Write the sentence on the board and read the words aloud , Have the children repeat the sentence .

h. Ask , “What do you do on (Monday )?” Elict, “We go to school on Monday .”

i. Repeat the procedure for Wednesday, Tuesday ,and Saturday .

j. Ask the children “What do you do on (Saturday )?”Have the children answer in their own language .

k. Point to the words go to park written under the word Saturday in the diary .Have the children touch and explain the meaning of the words .

l. Now write the sentence Sue goes to the park on

Saturday .Read the sentence and have the children repeat it .

m. Point the the word holiday. Read the words aloud to the class, and explain its meaning.

Step4. Talk about the story.

Have the children open their books at page 2 and 3.Ask these questions about the pictures.

Picture 7/8: What do you think is happing now ? Picture 9: What is Ann giving to Mocky ? Picture 10: What is happing now ? Step5 Story
