【摘要】Objective To report the results of open reduction and ulnar osteotomy with internal fixation for chronic Monteggia fracture in children.Methods From 2005 to 2011,18 children were operated for chronic Monteggia fracture at our hospital.Their mean age was 9 years (3 years and 2 months to 14 years 9 months).They were classified as Bado Ⅰ (n =15) and Bado Ⅲ[(n =3).The mean time from injury to operation was 9.5 months (3 months to 5 years).There were 3 months to 1 year (n=12),1 to 3 years (n=3) and over 3 years (n =3).Six patients had the symptoms of deep branch of radial nerve.All of them underwent open reduction and ulnar osteotomy with angulation/ elongation plus rigid plate fixation.And 18 of them were followed up for 24.8 (12 45) months.During follow ups,they were evaluated by rang-of-motion of forearm and elbow and overall limb function based on Kim score system.Results Among 18 patients with routine ulnar osteotomy,there were recurrent dislocation & reoperation (n=1) and subluxation (n=1).The arc of flexion improved from an average of preoperative 102 to postoperative 128 and the arc of rotation declined from 176 to 165.The elbow function of 5 patients had a full recovery,but elbow
