Abstract：To explore the source of excellent traditional Chinese culture, we have to first clarify what is ＂China＂ in literary genealogy, and under- stand its ＂three thousand years consistency＂, the national community consciousness formed in Qin and Hart dynasties, the patriotic spirit deposited in our national literature, culture and civilization from generation to generation, and ＂be tolerant to diversity＂, an open and inclusive characteristic of national culture. To study the foundation underlying all our efforts to build the country and the source of our culture, there are four characteristics which should be noticed ： the fundamental profoundness of Chinese national culture, the inclusiveness of cultural philosophy, the profusion of cultural vein, and the splen- dor of cultural landscapes. Coupling of these four characteristics endows our national culture boundless creativity and active force of sharing, thus, it con- nects to the common people and becomes endless.
