一、happen表示\偶然地)发生\时，其主语一般为事，而不能是人。例如：
This happened in 1988.这件事发生在1988年。

二、表示\某人发生了什么事\应用something happens/happened to somebody这一结构。例如：
What happened to Mr Green?格林先生发生了什么事？

误：London happened this story.
正：This story happened in London.

五、happen表示\碰巧……\时，还可用于It happens/happened that...结构，这种结构可与上述结构互换。例如：
