TheDAC0830isanadvancedCMOS/Si-Cr8-bitmultiplyingDACdesignedtointerfacedirectlywiththe8080,8048,8085,Z80?,andotherpopularmicroprocessors.Adepositedsilicon-chromiumR-2Rresistorladdernetworkdividesthereferencecurrentandprovidesthecircuitwithexcellenttem-peraturetrackingcharacteristics(0.05%ofFullScaleRangemaximumlinearityerrorovertemperature).ThecircuitusesCMOScurrentswitchesandcontrollogictoachievelowpowerconsumptionandlowoutputleakagecurrenterrors.SpecialcircuitryprovidesTTLlogicinputvoltagelevelcom-patibility.
DoublebufferingallowstheseDACstooutputavoltagecor-respondingtoonedigitalwordwhileholdingthenextdigitalword.ThispermitsthesimultaneousupdatingofanynumberofDACs.
TheDAC0830seriesarethe8-bitmembersofafamilyofmicroprocessor-compatibleDACs(MICRO-DAC?).
