◆ 教材分析 本单元是新目标八年级下册第三单元Section B 部分。话题为“chores and permission”家务活和许可。教学内容贴近学生生活,学生有一定学习兴趣。本课是一堂典型的阅读课,其主要目标是训练孩子的阅读能力,培养学生正确的阅读方法和阅读技巧。 ◆ 教学目标 【知识目标】 1. Key words:

①There is no need for them to do it.

②It’s the parents’ job to provide a clean and fortable environment for their children. ③It is not enough to just get good grades.

1. Be able to master the reading strategies: skimming and scanning. 2. Train Students’ summarizing skill. 3. Have your own opinions about doing chores. 【情感目标】

What do your parents always ask you to do? And review some target languages in Section A. Step 3: Learn 1a

What do teenagers ask their parents’ permission for? What do parents ask their teenagers to do? Write parents or teenagers next to each phrase. Step 4: Practice

Use the phrases in 1a to make conversation.

“Could you …? ” or “Could I … ?” between a child and a parent.
