Read the book and put the Chinese into English orally, then write them down without looking at your book.

Ask Ss to look at the picture on page 25 and discuss the following questions in groups. Then let some students say their answers out. 1. What are the two students talking about?
2. How many animals are there in the picture? What are they? 3. What’s the girl’s favorite animal? Why?
4. Can you guess what is the boy’s favorite animal? Why? 5. What’s your favorite animal? Why?

Presentation
The teacher holds up a picture of lion and asks S1.
