PURPOSE:To form a correct ridge shape by constituting so that the stopping and driving periods of the rotation driving means of a tap at the returning time of tapping and the feed driving means of the body to be worked may coincide and the adjustable speed ratio may agree with a standard value. CONSTITUTION:The phase difference of the motors 1, 2 of the driving means of both of rotation and feed is detected by a time difference detecting means 18 and an arithmetic means 19 prior to tapping and the both driving means 1, 2 are controlled based on this detection result so that the phase
difference at deceleration stopping time and tapping returning time (reversal time of both driving means 1, 2) may be eliminated. Consequently the ridge of a tapping hole is correctly formed and the depth of a tap can be kept at a set value. 主权项：
