A common misconception among youngsters attending school is that their teachers were child prodigies. Who else but a bookworm, with none of the normal kid’s tendency to play rather than study, would grow up to be a teacher anyway? I’ve tried desperately to explain to my students that the image they have of me as an enthusiastic devotee of books and homework during my adolescence is a bit out of focus. On the contrary, I hated compulsory education with a passion. I could never quite accept the notion of having to go to school while the fish were biting.
评分标准：
1）共5句话，每句2分。
2）译文忠实反映原文，整体内容和语言均正确，即可得满分。
VI Writing（本题共1小题，15分。）
阅卷标准共分五个基本等级：2分、5分、8分、11分及14分。若认为稍优或稍劣于某等级分数，即可在该等级分数基础上加一分或减一分。
2分：条理不清，思路紊乱，语言支离破碎或大部分句子均有错误，且多数为严重错误。 5分：基本切题。表达思想不清楚，连贯性差。有较多的严重语言错误。
8分：基本切题。有些地方表达思想不够清楚，文字勉强连贯；语言错误相当多，其中有一些是严重错误。
11分：切题。表达思想清楚，文字连贯，但有少量语言错误。
14分：切题。表达思想清楚，文字通顺，连贯性好。基本上无语言错误，仅有个别小错误。
除了以上五个主要标准之外，评分时还考虑以下三个因素：
1) 白卷，作文与题目毫不相关，或只有几个孤立的词而无法表达思想，则给零分。 2) 结构不完整，字数不足者酌情扣分。
