初中英语教学中的多元智能理论--- Application of mutiple intelligence theory in English teaching
本篇论文采用定量研究的方法,运用多元智能调查问卷调查表中文修订版及英语学习兴趣和自信心问卷调查表,对光明中学初中二年级104名学生进行了调查。最后用SPSS11.5对收集的数据进行分析。
在大致了解初中生多元智能现状的基础上,英语老师能够进一步更好地了解学生,并且根据现状,找到恰当的方法帮助学生学习英语。另外,对于制定教学大纲的教育家来说,他们能够得到初中生多元智能倾向的基本现状,从而制定研究出不但帮助学生全面发展,而且有助于提高他们多元智能能力的课程。 1.Introduction
1.1 Purpose and significance of the research
In China,for a long time,the focus of English teaching is put on teaching and testing student’s linguistic intelligence,while many other kinds of intelligence are ignored.In classroom teaching,teachers prefer to adopting teacher-centered teaching methods, spoon-feeding English grammar,words and sentences to students.For most teaching plan,the priority is always www.51lunwen.com given to training of student’s knowledge on language,while the individual difference between students,triggering and cultivating of student’s learning interest are easy to ignore.
For second language acquisition,many factors may affect the teaching effect,such as classroom atmosphere,learning styles and students'learning strategies,teaching style and idea of the teacher as well as the interaction between the teacher and students,etc.However, it is more obvious,from many researches on language acquisition,that the learners play a decisive role in affecting the final learning results.There is no exception that a successful education should fully take the individual characters of learning subjects into account.
Therefore,teachers should adjust their own role in teaching,change the traditional education ideas and modes,take individual differences into account,and flexibly apply various teaching methods.It is consistent with the teaching modes and concept of curriculum design proposed in multiple intelligence theory(MIT).MIT put forward the possibility of individualized education,emphasized that teaching should be applied in various ways according to students’individual differences and their different learning methods.On the one hand,it is helpful to enhance the insufficient intelligence of students;on the other hand,every student can get the chance to give play to their own dominant intelligence while learning.
