【摘要】Objective To observe and analyze the prevalence of thyroid disease in geriatric type 2 diabetic patients. Methods The study included 455 cases of geriatric type 2 diabetes ( geriatric type 2 diahetes group) , and 116 heahhy aged man as control ( geriatric without type 2 diabetes group). Serum thyroid function were measured in all and thyroid uhrasound was estimated in the former.Results In geriatric type 2 diabetes, the total prevalence rate of thyroid disease was 26. 81％ , clinical hypothyroidism was 7. 69％ , sub - clinical hypothyroidism was 12. 31 ％ . These indicators were all significantly higher in those diabetic patients than in control. But there was no significant difference between male and female. The prevalence rate of thyroid nodules in geriatric type 2 patients group was up to 71. 65％ , and solitary and multiple nodules were correspondent(46. 01％ vs 53. 99％ ) . Except that nodules smaller than 1cm were more common in female, no obvious difference was observed in the size and number of thyroid nodules between male and female. Conclusion The prevalence of thyroid disease in geriatric type 2 diabetic patients is higher than normal. So it iS important to check out and follow up thyroid function

and thyroid ultrasound of them.%目的 观察分析老年2型糖尿病患者甲状腺疾病的患病情况.方法 回顾性分析2008年2月～2010年5月在笔者医院住院的老年2型糖尿病患者455例(老年T2DM组)以及同期在笔者医院体检的老年健康人群116例(老年非T2DM组)的甲状腺功能,并对455例老年2型糖尿病患者进行甲状腺超声检查.结果 老年 T2DM组甲状腺疾病总的患病率(26.81%)、甲减(7.69%)、亚甲减(12.31%)的患病率均高于老年非T2DM组(P <0.05).老年T2DM组甲状腺结节的发病率高达71.65%,单发结节与多发结节的发病率相当(46.01%vs 53.99%);男女性别间比较,女性甲状腺微小结节(直径≤1cm)的检出率高于男性,其余则没有明显差别.结论 老年2型糖尿病患者具有较高的甲状腺疾病发病率,所以对老年2型糖尿病患者进行甲状腺功能和形态学的筛查以及定期随访具有必要的临床意义. 【总页数】3页(114-116)
