7A Unit 1 Grammar: Simple Present Tense(一般现在时)
一般现在时的用法：
1） 经常性或习惯性的动作，常与表示频度的时间状语连用。时间状语 every…, sometimes, at…, on Sunday。
例如： I leave home for school at 7 every morning. 每天早上我七点离开家。
2） 客观真理，客观存在，科学事实。
例如： The earth moves around the sun. 地球绕太阳转动。 Shanghai lies in the east of China. 上海位于中国东部。 3） 表示格言或警句。
例如：Pride goes before a fall. 骄者必败。
注意：此用法如果出现在宾语从句中，即使主句是过去时，从句谓语也要用一般现在时。
例Columbus proved that the earth is round.哥伦布证实了地球是圆的。
4） 表示现在的状态、能力、性格、个性。例如： I don't want so much. 我不要那么多。
Ann writes good English but does not speak well. 安英语写得不错，讲的可不行。
一般现在时的结构：
1） 主语+be动词（is/ am /are）+。。。
I am a teacher/ happy. You are a student. They are students. We are good friends.
These classrooms are clean. He/ She/It is fine.

The air is fresh here.
变成否定时在be动词后面加上not. e.g. I am not a teacher.
You are not a student. are not 可以缩写为aren’t. He/ She /It is not fine. is not 可以缩写为isn’t. 变成疑问句时：把be动词提到句首。 e.g. Are you a student?
Yes, I am. / No, I am not. Is he fine?
Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t. 我用am,你用are, is连着他,她,它; 单数名词用is, 复数名词全用are. 变否定,更容易, (be)后加not就可以; 变问句,往前提, 句末问号莫忘记. 疑问否定任你变,
句首大写莫迟疑.
2） 主语+ 行为动词（do/ does）+ 。。。
e.g. I/ We/ You/ They/ The children like English. He/ She/ It/ A boy likes English. The water flows into the sea.
否定形式(在主语后面加上don’t或者doesn’t)：
I/ We/ You/ They/ The children don’t like English. He/ She/ It / A boy doesn’t like English. The water doesn’t flow into the sea. 一般疑问句：Do/Does +主语+动词原形+…?
e.g． Do you like English? Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Does the boy like English?
Yes, he does./ No, he doesn’t.
小结：当主语为第三人称单数（he/ she/ it），可数名词单数（a boy…），不可数名词（The water/ air..）时，后面的谓语动词要变成单数形式，也就是在后面加上s/ es.
谓语动词变成单数的具体规则如下：
1. 一般在后面直接加上s. e.g. like—likes clean—cleans
2. 以s/ es/ x/ sh/ ch 结尾的单词，在后面加上es. e.g.
brush—brushes
3. 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词，把辅音字母改成i再加es. e.g.
study—studies carry—carries 4. do/ go—does/goes
