各位教授下午好!

我叫***,今年27岁,是南京工业大学化学与分子工程学院在读的研二学生,我的专业是有机化学。

目前我跟随刘睿教授以及朱红军教授从事有机光电功能材料方面的研究。我的课题研究主要是围绕苯并噻唑类固体发光材料的合成及应用。两年时间里,在课题组老师们的指导下,我取得了一些进展。我们系统的研究了一系列苯并噻唑类化合物的光物理性质,并通过紫外光谱,单晶解析,量化计算等手段对化合物的发光机制进行研究,发掘出了几个性能优异的小分子材料,并成功应用在白光LED器件上。目前我完成了一项专利撰写并已提交给了代理机构,另有一篇学生一作文章已投稿至Luminescence期刊并小修返回,目前由于疫情原因,还需要等返校后再修改提交。除此之外还有一篇文章我的导师正在修改,有望在今年之内取得更多的好成果。

经过这两年的学习与实践,让我对有机化学有了更深的认识与理解,实验操作能力有了质的提升,并且在大量外文阅读中我的英语能力已达到六级水平。但同时我也发现了自身存在的诸多不足,因此我认为自己有必要抓住机会进一步的学习。

倘若有幸能够继续深造,未来的学习生活我将分几步展开: 1. 通过阅读相关领域的前沿著作拓宽自己的知识面。并积极参与相关的学术活动,了解世界范围内该领域的研究进展。在此基础上继续深入研究我的课题。 2. 我计划对苯并噻唑类小分子材料的固体发光机制进行验证,并探索他们在发光材料方面的应用。我希望通过这部分工作实现对这类小分子材料性质的调控与预测。

3. 我计划对苯并噻唑类的金属配合物及高分子材料进行研究,金属配合物通常比纯有机小分子的性能更优越,而高分子材料可塑性更强且应用更为方便。我期待通过这些研究对光电功能材料领域有所贡献。

Good afternoon, professors!

My name is ***, 27 years old. I am a second-year postgraduate student studying organic chemistry at the school of chemistry and molecular engineering, Nanjing Tech University.

At present, I follow professor Liu Rui and professor Zhu Hongjun to conduct research on organic photoelectric functional materials. My research focuses on the synthesis and application of benzothiazole solid luminescent materials. In two years, under the guidance of teachers in the research group, I made some achievements. We investigated the photophysical properties of a series of benzothiazoles. The luminescence mechanism of the compound was studied by means of ultraviolet spectrum, single crystal analysis and quantitative calculation. Several excellent small molecular materials have been developed and successfully applied to white LED devices. At present, I have finished writing a patent and submitted it to the agency. In addition, an article I wrote as the first author of the students has been submitted to the journal of Luminescence and received feedback with minor modifications. Due to the current epidemic situation, we still need to revise the submission after returning to school. It is worth mentioning that there is another manuscript that my tutor is revising, which is expected to achieve more good results within this year.

After two years of study and practice, I have a deeper understanding of organic chemistry, and my ability to operate experiments has changed qualitatively. In addition, my English ability has reached CET-6 in a large number of foreign languages. At the same time, I also found many shortcomings in myself, so I think it is necessary to seize the opportunity to further study.

If I am lucky enough to continue my study, I will spread out my future study life in several steps:

1. First of all, I will broaden my knowledge by reading cutting-edge works in related fields. And actively participate in relevant academic activities to understand the research progress in the world. On this basis, I will continue to study my subject in depth.

2. Next, I will verify the solid luminescence mechanism of benzothiazoles and explore their applications in luminescent materials. I hope to realize the property regulation and prediction of this kind of small molecular materials through this part of work.

3. Subsequently, I plan to conduct research on benzothiazoles' metal complexes and polymer materials. Metal complexes generally have better properties than pure organic small molecules, while polymer materials have stronger plasticity and are more convenient for application. I look forward to contributing to the field of photoelectric functional materials through these studies.
