On the Influence of Confucianism on Chinese Political Culture

Abstract; China is a great nation with a long history of culture and

achievement.And the most significant is the development of culture,Confucianism has a profound effect on China,the influence of the Confucianism upon the Chinese is deeply.Exerted a strong influence on contemporary China,especially influencing the politics of China .

Ⅰ.Introduction

No other philosopher in the world has had more enduring influence

than Confucius,he is the founder of Confucianism,for over two thousand years his concept of government,and his ideas about personal conduct and morality,permeated Chinese life and culture.Even today his thoughts remain influential.Mencius and Xunzi inherited and developed Confucius thoughts,and in the Han Dynasty Dong Zhongshu is causes the Confucianist from the founder who moves toward the reality ideally,is also causes the Confucian thoughts political education to step onto road’s of the practical earlier worker to the theory,advanced the Confucian thoughts political education socialization movement.

②The core of Confucianism are humanity,righteousness,propriety,wisdom

and faithfulness or trustworthiness.

Ⅱ.Influence

2.1 Political ideas and effects

Confucian culture and its values has become an important factor in the spirit of the Chinese nation,has long been popular on the man doing things and founding of the famous and depicting a spread to every corner of the social life.In short,the Confucian ‘benevolence Regular interpersonal relationships ,and for thousands of years the Chinese exchanges almost follow it was step.

Confucius think that rite was the foundation of the government,

the government should lead the people by virtue and govern them by rites. Confucius also held that the right to govern depended upon the ability to make the governed happy, anyone who possessed of virtue and ability might properly govern, and no one without this qualities had the right to power. Thus, government by virtue is the political tradition of China, and all the ancient sage-kings were believed to have ruled through virtue and talent.According to another philosopher of Confucianism, Mencius, government is primarily for the good of the people and not the ruler.What’s more, he warned that a ruler who betrayed his Heavenly trust was no more a king but a

scourge or a scoundrel. He was progressive in the sense that he condemned despotic rule and attached great importance to people’s economic life and their rights to government. 2.2. Government by humanity

Both Kong Zi and Meng Zi advocated the principle of government by humanity. Humanity is a word embracing all those moral qualities which should govern one man in his relations with another. Humanity is the manifestation of the genuine nature. Humanity was “love man’’. “The man of humanity wishing to be established himself seeks also to establish others; wishing to be developed himself, he seeks also to develop others.”This is the Confucian virtue of conscientiousness. Everyone should lead a life according to humanity and a man devoted to humanity. There is no doubt that humanity is necessary for political construction. For example, conscientiousness, if someone has it, he or she will devote to political construction positively and really do services for the people, such as Zheng Peimin. 2.3. On form of government

on form of government China is one system of people's congresses, National People?s Congress and local people?s congresses at all levels are formed through democratic election to the people and subject to the supervision of the people. From the doctrines of

Confucianism, the emperor should rein with benevolence, and the people should who subject to him should respect his and overthrow the regime when the emperor lacks “human”. 2.4. Politicical culture

Politicical culture is generally applied to the art or science of running governmental or state affairs, including behavior within civil governments, but also applies to institutions, fields, and special interest groups. It consists of \power\policy. Important military and political figures in modern Chinese history to Confucianism, like the Muslim warlord Ma Fuxiang. The New Life Movement relied heavily on Confucianism. Military and political classes on the Kuomintang's Three principles of the people were added. Textbooks, exams, degrees and educational were all controlled by the state, as were all universities. Numerous opinions and interpretations of Confucianism of which many are actually opposed .

Ⅲ.Conclusion

.In the ancient ,the Confucian thought is the orthodox thought in China.Confucianism lasted for several thousands years in China,and still has a huge effect in many aspects of China.In short,Chinese

society over the past benefited from Confucianism ,the future of Chinese society is still should be seek to this treasure trove of wisdom.
