Roberto: I’ve been playing since I was a teenager, but I’ve only really been studying it seriously for about a year. How long did you say you’ve been playing the flute? Claudia: Like I said, I took lessons when I was a kid, but I hated it. I started playing about two months ago and I’m really enjoying it this time. But like I told you — I’m not very good yet.
Roberto: Well, have you been practicing? “Practice makes perfect.” Claudia: I practice sometimes, but I have trouble doing it at home. Tara and Sun-hee have both been studying a lot lately, and they keep telling me they need peace and quiet. So there’s nowhere for me to practice.
